Meditation Workshop

More than a thousand years ago, yogis developed the practice of meditation to quiet the mind and experience deep peace within.

Meditation is designed to train the mind to dis-identify with our thoughts, emotions, worries or regrets and, instead, focus on the present moment. As one returns to presence, the mind starts quieting and retrieving the freedom that it has always known.

As the power of presence reveals itself, we recognize the experience of a mind and a heart free from noise and access their wisdom—the seat of the deeper self. We feel more empowered and freer. We gradually begin to build the ground for a more stable, long-lasting state of happiness.

On October 3rd, you are invited to a journey into presence as an experience. Drawing from various approaches from classical yoga, nondual yoga philosophies, and mindfulness, we will practice meditation as a tool for peace of mind and heart openness.

More specifically, in the workshop we will:

- Practice and learn several meditation techniques and methods directly related to the quieting of the mind and connection to the heart

- Discuss the common blocks to regular practice and how to overcome them

- Understand experientially how meditation can calm thoughts and feelings, and perhaps create clarity

- Explore the realm of the heart; the seat of our deeper wisdom and direct access to love.

- Go through some foundational eastern philosophy teachings (from classical and nondual yoga) behind the teachings of meditation

- Address some of the questions you might have when it comes to meditation

- Personally reflect on the bridge between ancient wisdom, psychology, and the challenges of living a modern life.

The meditation sessions (varying each from 10 to 30 minutes approximately) will be recorded so you can use them to practice on your own after the workshop.

Although we will include some simple stretching, the main aspect of the workshop is meditation. Experience with meditation is recommended but not strictly necessary. Most important is your willingness to turn inside and explore practicing.

PRACTICALITIES

In addition to comfortable clothing, bring a notebook and whatever props or snacks you might need.

The number of spots is limited.

Price: 500 kr. (including VAT/Moms) 

Under 30 years old: 400 kr.


About Cédric:

Strong of a teaching experience of nearly 15 years, Cédric is passionate about sharing yoga as a tool for awakening, transformation, and empowerment. Cédric’s teaching specializes in alignment-based and so-called heart-centered yoga, various forms of meditation and mindfulness, nondual and classical yoga philosophy, and somatic healing modalities. He has taught classes, retreats, events, and teacher trainings internationally with focus on both asana and meditation. 

To him, teaching and practicing yoga is about discovering what it truly means to be human. Founder of HeartWise Yoga, in both his studies and teaching Cédric has a special crush for “the heart”: the center within that can lead us back to the essence of who we are. 

Beyond yoga, meditation, and eastern philosophy, Cédric is trained in the somatic and mindfulness-based psychotherapy method Hakomi, in the holistic bodywork Esalen Massage®, yoga anatomy, and has a decade of dedicated practice to conscious embodiment modalities.
