Beginners mind - coming back to the basics
We are going back to the roots of yoga. Inviting you to embrace an open beginners mind and bring it to your practice. It doesn't matter if you are new to yoga or a long term practitioner - with a beginners mind you step on to your yoga mat without expectations, assumptions or preconceptions and allow your self to open your body and mind to new learnings.
'Beginner’s mind' is a concept known from Zen Buddhism. It is an attitude more than a skill – a refreshing sense of openness rooted in humility, and a true readiness to learn. Instead of practicing to achieve, we approach our practice simply with curiosity, with the spirit of play. Diving into the practice by moving with your breath, staying connected and present in the moment.
In this workshop you will learn different breathing techniques, how to practice safely by using basic alignment concepts and how to improve listening to your body's voice. Let's challenge our habits and routines both on and off the mat.
Coming back to the basics, we like to invite you to rediscover the roots of your practice.
