Handstand Workshop
with Nicolai Boas
There is something special about being upside down. Handstands challenge our strength and coordination, but they also teach us about focus, patience, and trust in our own body.
A handstand is not just about kicking up and hoping for the best — it is a practice of understanding alignment, building awareness, and creating the right conditions for balance.
In this workshop with Nicolai Boas, we will break down the elements of a handstand and work with the foundations that support a stronger and more confident practice. Whether you are working towards your first freestanding handstand or looking to refine the one you already have, there will be plenty to explore.
Expect a workshop that is challenging, fun, and filled with Nicolai’s characteristic humor and energy. You will be guided through focused practice, plenty of exploration, and lots of opportunities to learn (and laugh) along the way.
About this workshop
During the workshop, we will focus on:
• Building the foundations of a sustainable handstand practice
• Understanding alignment, balance, and weight distribution
• Exercises to develop strength, control, and confidence upside down
• Different approaches to entering and holding a handstand
• Individual guidance and adjustments based on your experience level
Who can join?
This workshop is for students who are curious about developing their handstand practice. Some previous experience with inversions or handstands is recommended, but you do not need to be able to hold a perfect handstand to join.
The most important thing is that you are ready to learn, practice, and have fun along the way.
