Chanting & Meditation for Wholeness and Healing
Purnamadah: The Mantra of Perfection
With Jakob Weise & Vijay Shyam
Join us for a deeply nourishing workshop that explores the timeless human longing for oneness. Through gentle meditation, heartfelt dialogue, and the chanting of the ancient Purnamadah Mantra, we will open a space for healing, self-discovery, and inner completeness.
About the Mantra
The Purnamadah Mantra is a powerful declaration of non-duality, wholeness, and peace. Found in the Yajur Veda and the Isha Upanishad—cornerstones of Vedantic philosophy—it reminds us that both the individual self (“this”) and the universal reality (“that”) arise from the same infinite whole. Nothing is ever truly missing, and nothing can be taken away from what is already complete.
Devanagari:
Transliteration:
oṃ pūrṇam adaḥ pūrṇam idaṃ pūrṇāt pūrṇam udacyate pūrṇasya pūrṇam ādāya pūrṇam evāvaśiṣyate oṃ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ
Translation:
“That is whole. This is whole.
From the whole, the whole becomes manifest.
Even when the whole is taken from the whole,
the whole remains whole.”
What to Expect
A Shared Conversation – We open with a short meditation and a heartfelt dialogue about how our beliefs, attachments, and desires shape the human condition—and the longing that lies beneath them.
Guided Meditation – An invitation to explore your personal experience of incompleteness and connect with the universal sense of wholeness.
Chanting the Mantra – Together, we will unfold the meaning of this ancient mantra and learn to chant it. Its sound is both a practice and an opening—a way to move beyond the restless mind and rest in a sense of completeness.
