Yoga for the heart w. healing cocoa and live music

  • The Yoga Flat 2 Christianshavns Torv København, 1410 Denmark (map)

We are so happy to be able to house this charity fundraising yoga event hosted by Salina NGO who works to better the lives of sex workers and their children in Mumbai.

This afternoon yoga-event will be focusing on the heart, and you will experience both soft and dynamic yoga accompanied by classical Indian music and guided meditation. Also you will receive a heart opening cocoa from the Guatemalan mountains.

During the entire afternoon, there will be live music by Juan Tepui from Venezuela. For many years Juan has worked as a musician at ceremonies with Shamans. He has studied classical Indian music, and plays the Indian bamboo flute Bansuri. The Bansuri is known to be able to open the heart with its mystical and soft sound. Juan will both play South American songs on the guitar and Indian poetic scales on the bamboo flute.

Also Nicolaj Knub will serve and introduce us to the healing powers of the cocoa. Nikolaj teaches buddhist meditation and filosofi, and recently his love for the cocoa has led him on a journey to Central and South America where he has explored the magic of the cocoa plant and how native cultures uses it at ceremonies.

Lea Sorth and Trine Krogstad will be guiding the yoga. Both are boardmembers at Salina NGO, and they have traveled the world helping out people in need. Lea will share with us her calm and relaxing Yin Yoga, and Trine will teach a dynamic vinyasa class.

Join this afternoon of self-indulgence and at the same time support Salina NGOs work for bettering the lives of sex workers and their children i Mumbai. All money from this event will go to Salina NGO.
