Teacher Training

100-hour alignment based flow

Are you ready to take your practice to the next level?

The Yoga Flats Teacher Training is both for those wishing to teach and those wanting to take their practice further as a teacher training can be a great way of diving deep into Svadhyaya (self study).

Our Basic training is build up over four weekends and is designed to give you the primary tools to start sharing your love of yoga as a teacher.

The main physical practice will be what we call alignment based flow (the primary teaching style at The Yoga Flat) - which is inspired by many traditions but primarily can be seen as a mix between ‘vinyasa’ and ‘hatha’ yoga.

The principal teacher at the training will be Co-founder and Teacher at The Yoga Flat Nicolai Boas. He will be sharing his knowledge on teaching techniques, sequencing and mostly guiding the physical practice and much more. To then take you through the key philosophical concepts in the tantric tradition we have the pleasure of having Cand.psych. and Yoga Teacher Jacqueline Albers as the main supporting teacher. She will weave in her knowledge of modern day psychology to give you the best possible tools for teaching and supporting your students.

Learning Objectives:

It’s important to stress that 100 hours is fairly little time so most subjects are centred around the basic skills needed for teaching relatively basic classes. This being said you can always expand your skillset in one of our courses over the spring of 2020 too.

the following are what you can expect to learn

  • Anatomical & Kinesiological knowledge for yoga teachers

  • Basic Teaching Techniques for both flow and static practice

  • Communication and cuing

  • The Basics of tantric philosophy

  • Asanas and postural practice

  • Sequencing
