Sarah likes to work a lot with the breath in her classes, maybe due to her many years of practicing pranayama on and of the mat, and meditation is always integral to her yoga teaching. With a background i Anusara Yoga Sarah teaches a mix of flows and more static practice always focused on connecting with and growing from the ground. As a teacher her main focus is holding space for your journey to the self and guiding you through a moving meditation. Every single minute spend on your mat is worth honouring and Sarah always makes time for contemplation.

Beyond teaching yoga at The Yoga Flat, she spends time with therapy clients and groups practicing SOURCE Process and Breathwork. Besides running two yoga studios with her brother Nicolai, Sarah shares her life with her two children and her husband.

Nicolai

Nicolai is a technique junkie whose classes centre around body awareness, anatomy and mindful movement. His classes are build up around the wish for his student to empower themselves in their practice and in their life by employing concepts that highlight the power of an explorative practice and way of living.
His classes will often be relatively physically demanding, whether it is advanced or gentle practice, yet his lyrical teaching style makes tough active body work accessible for most.

For Nicolai, through physical practice, we can get better and understanding ourselves as it becomes a tangible tool to better access our reaction patterns and our sense of self. We are able to make our complex experiences and problem areas more accessible simply by looking at the way we approach our physical practice, how we meet ourselves and how we respond to the nerve impulses.

To be able to meet yourself and others from an honest and open-minded place - that’s the essence of yoga for Cecilie. A stronger, more flexible body is merely a bonus. She enjoys teaching in a slow and fluent pace, making room for contemplation and a feeling of calmness, even when the physical practice gets challenging.
Her classes often contains strong flowy sequences, yet the slow pace will allow you to keep the connection to your body, your center throughout your practice. She believes yoga is an ongoing dialogue between mind, body and breath, practice being the string connecting the three. Join her classes for a slow and juicy practice - often moving to a soundtrack created especially for each class’ theme and mood.
She lives in Copenhagen with her two kids, and besides from teaching yoga she works as a foodwriter and foodstylist for different magazines and lifestyle brands.

Ivy’s passion for yoga started back in her teens, where it became a crucial practice for her to help navigate the confusing years of adolescent, and it has since been an important aspect of her life. In her classes you will be met with a physical practice that can help you enhance your own bodily understanding while diving deeper into the connection between body and mind. Ivy’s teaching has over the years been influenced by many different yoga styles. And with a background in philosophy, you can expect the classes to be playful and experimental while at the same time drawing on yoga philosophy and yogic ideas. She hopes to inspire your practice and to create a space for you to explore the physical, emotional, and mental state in the given present.

Jacqueline is known for her easy going and light-hearted approach to the wisdom of yoga. She loves sharing her devotion to help awaking fully to ones journey in LIFE.
She skilfully weaves philosophy, mantras, mudras, pranayama and meditation into well sequenced and alignment based classes for all levels. Expect amazing music and singing, to move your body and mind - and to be invited to show up fully both on and off the mat.
Her many years of studies, teachings and sharings are based on Tantric philosophy, Anusara and Rasa Yoga. She holds a master degree in psychology and carefully connects this knowledge with the ancient wisdom of yoga, for the modern day yogi to become fully aware in all aspects of life.

Ari has been practicing yoga for 10 years and cherishes both the playful and devotional aspects of yoga. Classes with Ari focus both on alignment but also freedom in the form, with the goal of guiding students to find greater confidence and ease in their bodies. With personal practices in dance, climbing, running, and meditation she loves to walk at the edges of both the body and the mind. As a result, her classes encourage students to engage in curiosity and exploration.

Ari enjoys sharing yoga in a way that connects to her highest purpose, which is to love, heal and serve. She crafts the scope of her classes to create space to remember that our practice is so much more than just for ourselves, approaching movement and mindfulness as a way to bring greater connection to the self and especially to others.

Louise recognises the light in everyone. She believes that the diversity in each of us can create a greater, more energetic form of connection; it unites us in a truly special way, whether we are on or off the mat. She welcomes us just as we are, regardless of how we may feel. She strives for you to accept ourselves fully and embrace what you bring to your practice. 

As the happy, loving soul that she is, Louise believes in holding an unconditionally safe, loving space for everyone. By allowing a connection between body and mind to occur and trusting oneself to be guided in your practice, through your energies you will experience the ideal practice on any given day.

Energy is all around us. Louise believes in the energetic connection between body and mind, and hopes that by moving through playful flows and mindful stillness, she can help us to connect to ourselves even more. 

Louise has a background in gymnastics, dance, pilates, and various other modalities. She teaches different styles of movement around Copenhagen. She provides sessions in Energetic Mind & Body Therapy, and will begin her journey in acupuncture in traditional Chinese medicine come January.

For Cedric, yoga is a path of self-discovery and an effective way to get into your body and empower yourself. He teaches yoga with devotion and passion and with a strong focus on good alignment. Cedrics classes always revolve around a more general theme and his intention is to open the door to your heart and expand your horizons physically and mentally.

Cedric’s background of interests mixes social sciences, business, research, somatic psychotherapy, eastern philosophy, diverse personal growth modalities, conscious entrepreneurship, poetry, magic, and of course advanced yoga studies, which all led him to live across several countries and languages - from his native France to the US, the UK, and Denmark. Needless to say Cedric loves the diversity and to mix people and bring them together within an inclusive space.

Hanne will welcome you with a warm smile and soft energy. Her classes is focused on safety first. It is important for her that yoga is fun, but without loosing track on the attention that rests on the journey from the starting point towards a greater awareness.

The foundation for all flows will be the breath and to find the connection to your breath. Without breath there will be no yoga.

She has a profound knowledge in anatomy and will guide you through detailed instructions where she offers gentle adjustment and assist to help find the alignment that will work best for you. Her teaching is inspired by her training in Ashtanga Yoga, Chandra Yoga and Rocket Yoga.

You can expect classes where you build up your strength and flexibility in a way that allows individual modifications and hopefully a laugh or two. When you attend her classes you can feel her deep understanding of yoga.

Peter is a teacher who loves to take a break from the outside to explore the power we´ve got on the inside. Peter love to focus on just being, breathing, moving and to create a smile from the inside out in his classes. He really loves to explore the the body and mind together trough different asanas and find a way to se your potensial and growth with yoga as a tool. He´s teaching comes from his personal practise, and his Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher training. He found yoga empowering for his mind and body and loves his breaks away from the outside world to go futhure in to the personal journey on his own mat. The benefits that he get´s is something he really want´s to give away to other people to really enrich their everyday life. Peter is a norwegian man that moved from Norway to Copenhagen. He´s a health-care worker and love to show love and to take care of people around him wherever he goes. He really loves to help people from a spiritual and mindful point of view such as yoga invites us in to. Yoga for him is more than just moving; Peter believes that yoga gives balance inside, awareness and strength.

What originally attracted Fanny to yoga, was its ability to provide a rare break from the inescapable rush, characterising life in the city. However, as a teacher she has come to realise that yoga is not just a break, but also a practice which helps us cope with the challenges we meet outside the mat. Therefore, her classes revolve around patiently and thoroughly guided flows, whether the style is vinyasa or gentle.

With a traditional yoga training, yogic philosophy is usually weaved into the class, offering room for personal reflection rooted in your own experience. Fanny tries to integrate the lessons learned on the mat, while learning ways to protect nature through her studies of Nature Management. The remainder of time is spent in the kitchen, or surrounded by nature.

Laura is one of the Yogaflat's very own trainee teachers. To Laura, each yoga class is an opportunity to press pause and check-in with the different layers of your Self in a non-judging, compassionate manner – reconnecting with, and realigning your breath, body and state of mind. Next to flowful sequences, each of her classes therefore leaves room for stillness, self-reflection and breathing exercises. With her warm & kind energy and light-hearted teaching style, you can expect classes that allow you to tune in, move by the guidance of your breath, sweat, have a laugh, and relax - adaptable to wherever you are in your practice or your energy level on the specific day. AC (Anna-Chatrine) tries to apply a holistic approach and a playful and curious mindset to her yoga classes as she seeks to invite you into a space beyond the physical practice. Therefore, her classes will often include a mix of different elements and styles all depending on the theme and mood of the class, and as such yoga is never just ‘one thing’ in AC’s classes. With an upbringing in rhythmic gymnastics you can expect to find playful flows, inversions and armbalances as part of her active classes, sometimes mixed with chanting or meditation to help provide a wider experience around a certain theme. In her gentle classes you’ll often find a bit of soft movement before the energy gradually begins to slow down as you enter deeper passive stretches as well as a softer state of mind. AC seeks to create a holistic experience to leave you with a sense of empowerment, be it an active or gentle practice.

Cipa

Follow your intuition listen to your breath and connect to the ground underneath you. Cipa loves to guide you into flows connecting the mind and the body to the sound of your breath. Grounding yourself and calming the body through movement and breath work, giving yourself a break from everything around you is what you can expect in Cipas classes. A calm and lovely voice will guide you through flows and the more technical stuff and sometimes the challenge is to soften and be slow and sometimes it’s to find power and strength trying new poses you’ve never tried before. Cipa is a singer so you can always expect her to finish the class with a little bit of singing in Shavasana. She has educated herself through several TTC's both in Denmark and India and loves to teach Vinyasa, Hatha and sometimes be inspired by Ashtanga.

Sarah

Sarah began her yoga practice in her early teens in 2001 when she was introduced to Yoga by her dear grandmother. Since then the practices of Yoga have been a key part of her toolbox to align body and mind when going through life's twists and turns. These practices are Sarah’s anchor, reminding her to show up every day with an open mind and explore the dance between effort and ease.

Over the years Sarah’s personal practice and teaching have been influenced by various yoga styles (Anusara, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar, and Restorative) and she loves to be a student of Yoga & movement - there’s always more! Sarah’s teaching style is lighthearted and through mindful sequencing her classes are designed to cultivate body awareness and make space for a meditative state of the mind. In 2014 she moved to San Francisco, where she got to study with her teachers and where she began the path of teaching at yoga studios and companies in the city. Sarah returned to Denmark in the summer of 2020 feeling grateful to have several places around the world that feel like home

Tessa’s practice focuses on healing the mind, body, and soul. She is an artistic individual, and she uses that creativity in her teachings. Tessa brings a softness to her class while sparking moments of fire and power, guiding you through the depths of inner connection. She likes to begin and end her class with ease, while focusing on breath, movement, and mindfulness.

Tessa has a big heart with a lot of love to share, and you can feel that in her class. Her teachings come from her personal practice and training with Ashtanga Vinyasa, traditional Hatha, and Yin Yoga.   Tessa found yoga as a therapeutic approach for both her body and soul. Working as a professional hair stylist for over a decade in her home country of Canada, she used the practice to invite calmness and ease to a tired mind and body. To her, the practice of yoga is more than just physical movement; she believes that using the breath to guide your movements creates a deep connection to your body and spirit. The power that she has felt from the practice of yoga is she something she loves to share with others.   Off the mat you can find Tessa keeping up with her hair styling skills, heading out on her next adventure, or finding the closet slice of nature to explore.

Kirstine teaches flowy and progressive classes, with a big smile and from a place of love.

In the Yin Yoga classes you will be guided into utter stillness with yourself, surrendering to the poses and your body in it and always towards the goal of surfing that edge of resistance. Be course this is where you will find the real magic.
On the mixed classes, you will attend a yummy mix of flowy Vinyasa, the steady holds of Hatha and of course a Yin Yoga pose or two.
Kirstine is an anatomy geek and very much aware that we are all build different, therefore she will guide each pose for you, to where to feel the pose, much more than it should look a certain way. Kirstine always values a short but specific meditation and Pranyama starting each class.

As a yoga teacher it is Mathilde’s deepest wish to make space for the individual so that the practice of yoga can feel like coming home to ourselves.
Mathilde first found her love for yoga while travelling through India in 2008 and has returned many times since as both a student and teacher to pursue her
passion for the practice and the philosophy that lies behind it. 
In Mathilde’s dynamic classes you will be guided through creative and fun flows, where we will use the connection between body and mind, movements and
breathe to bring us back to the beauty of the present moment. In her yin classes we will draw our focus inwards, make space for inner stillness and get to know ourselves just a little better with the aim to take this wisdom with us when we leave the yoga mat and step back into everyday life.

Mathildes Prenatal classes are suited for women in all stages of pregnancy, with an overall focus on creating a connection between breath, movement, body and mind. All of this is with the aim to create more enjoyment in your pregnancy, and support you in your birth preparation, and connect with your baby.

Leah has been practicing yoga for two decades and teaching yoga since 2003, certified in Kripalu yoga and prenatal yoga, and in 2018 completed her advanced teacher training in Vijnana yoga. Leah loves a slower paced flow deeply interconnected to pranayama where precision, alignment and awareness to quality of movement are the focus.

For the past 8 years Leah focused much of her work on using yoga to support pelvic health and is currently writing her first book on the topic. Leah hopes to offer her students a thorough and interesting experience guiding the body and mind in a gentle and supportive way.

Lauriane

Pre- & Postnatal Teacher (FR)

Lauriane has more than a decade of experience teaching public classes, private sessions, birth preparation workshops, and co-leading Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher Trainings. She is certified experienced yoga teacher (E-RYT 500), prenatal yoga teacher (RPYT), YACEP, Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), and Rebozo.

She started her own yoga practice in her early twenties and has been a dedicated practitioner since. For her, the main benefits of yoga are the connection to the present moment and the grounding, balancing, and regulating effects of the practice. 

Lauriane is a mother of 3 beautiful children and her own journey through her pregnancies, births, and motherhood has led and inspired her to become a space holder, guide, and educator for pregnant and new mothers.

She has spent the last few years learning about female reproductive health, pregnancy, labour and birth, and postpartum. In both prenatal and postnatal yoga classes, Lauriane focuses on linking breath and movement, trusting and following intuition and body's wisdom, building resilience as a preparation for birth and motherhood, and soothing the nervous system with up-and down-regulation. 

She wants her pregnant and postpartum students to feel held, nourished, grounded, empowered, relaxed, loved and welcomed.

Lauriane also holds various MAs in Politics and Contemporary European Studies. 

Pau

Pau works intentionally with yoga and uses five values as ground pillars for her holistic practice. These five values are honesty, spirituality, health, gratitude and community.

She has a calm, serene approach to teaching, giving space for her students to feel and be in their own body and breath. She loves to challenge her students to further enhance their practice. When teaching, she also likes to incorporate the four elements, water, air, earth and fire, especially when entering a new astrological season. Pau started her yoga journey in 2013 after discovering how yoga immensely relieved her back pain. Since then, she has been hooked on yoga and wants to share its many benefits with others. She is RYT 500 certified in Ashtanga and Hatha, with additional training in Yin.

Titta

Tittas background comes from working with performing arts , experimental as well as very technical contemporary dance. Yoga rutines has always been part of clearing body and mind before entering the stage. In search of depth in her self or in her life she took Carpenter education, but ended up on the yoga mat and diving into yoga philosophy. She has been teaching yoga since 2018.

Yoga for her is about keeping herself updated and honest and forgiving  within her own regular yoga praksis as well as in her teaching. To stay learning and open for the unexpected is like the road from carpenter school to yoga teaching.

What keeps inspiring Titta is the breath and movement connection, especially in entering an asana. For her its important to find a plesurable way of transfering the weight,  after that holding a pose longer can be so different experience. Tittas vinyasa flows have lots of air , feeling of flying and landing to the sensation in the body. Playing with inversions is also close to her heart. She loves to share the tricks she just learned.

Palle

Palle has a long history in teaching. At the age of 12 he was assisting his teachers in ballroom dance. Yes he was a ballroom dancer back in the day. He began his yoga journey in 2009 with consistent practice onward. In 2017 Palle completed his first teacher training and has been teaching yoga since then. Palle  has a holistic approach to his teaching. He tends to guide his classes through body awareness and self care. A holistic approach to the body and mind that makes him the guide and you the expert in your body.

Laura Ravn

I grew up in a yoga school in Copenhagen and practicing yoga was always a natural part of living life. 

Growing up yoga practice was a way to find balance and calmness in everyday life activities and challenges.

After moving to NYC in 2015 I met teachers Yoshio Hama and Sri Dharma Mittra that inspired me tremendously to be able to share this ancient, beautiful, life-supportive practice.

I started to teach because I want to serve my community and share the knowledge discovered in my own journey. In the physical aspect I focus on the relationship between strength and flexibility to balance the body, but just as importantly how overall, through incorporating all eight-limbs of Yoga, it holistically support longevity in outer and inner health. Balancing the physical, sets the body for stillness, silence and creates the preparation for deeper discoveries in more subtle parts, encouraging sensitivity and heightened enjoyment of existence. I hope to help my students to a deeper understanding of their inner Self."

Laura has fulfilled advanced teacher training in Dharma Yoga, Rocket Vinyasa Yoga and Backbend, reaching over 1000 hours of certified teacher training. 

Laura also has background in dance, loves being creative and cooking nourishing foods.

Ida

Ida Kilias is a yoga teacher, space holder, and a birth keeper and holds more than 1000 hours of training within yoga and yoga therapy.

She has trained as a birth keeper with some amazing teachers to protect birth and continuously educate herself within the pregnancy, birth and postpartum field. She has educated prenatal yoga teachers for the past 3 years, has written research articles on the topic of emotional pregnancy, and shares women’s yoga, prenatal yoga and postnatal yoga in Copenhagen. In her classes she shares intuitive flows, gentle yoga, movement meditation and aims to make everybody feel welcome as they are (with all the sounds, releases and emotions that come when we feel safe).

She loves to work with intensity, pain, pleasure and believes that if we can hold ourselves in the intense part of our lives we are so much more open to experience pleasure and surrender. 

Rikke-Louise

Whether it be practicing a yang yoga, moving with your fiery sun energies or practicing a yin yoga moving inwards with the cooler moon energies the practice should always be a place for you to sense your own existence, taking a step out of the world to reconnect, sensing yourself as a full person, spirit, breath, mind and body, coming together, creating space, freedom, calmness, balance and perhaps a more complete experience of yourself and the practice.

Rikke Louise aims to create this space, giving you time to breathe, sense yourself, coming home to your center, whatever you need in that moment. Yoga is so much more than movement on a yoga mat, and in Rikke Louise’s yin classes you will find a practice that moves through pranayamas, meditations and small sound baths. Rikke Louise is always looking to go deeper into the practice, to broaden the experience for the students by forever be a student herself.

Rikke Louise is qualified to teach vinyasa, yoga nidra, yin yoga, Rocket vinyasa. She is also trained as a Thai yoga masseur and Sound Therapy Practitioner and are currently studying for a Meditation teacher.

Anna is a graduate of the Yoga Flat’s very own 200 hour yoga teacher training programme. She focuses on guiding breath and movement to cultivate a sense of balance. Expect to find ease through effort in these light-hearted, centering classes. 

Anna has been practicing yoga to varying degrees for over two decades. Originally as a complement to a competitive sports background, yoga gradually grew into an integrated part of her everyday life.  For her, yoga is all about building community and resilience.

Heidi

Teacher (DK)

Teaches: Basic Practice, Mixed Level Practice, Gentle Practice, Yin Yoga

Heidi's journey into movement began as a professional dancer, which evolved into a nerdy fascination with functional movement, and in particular, strength training. She fell in love with yoga in 2007 and meditation in 2017, after which she began exploring the mind-body connection.

 Passionate about cultivating body awareness through mindfulness, breath, alignment and movement, Heidi believes in creating space for present-moment presence - both on and off the mat. She views yoga as a holistic practice, integrating philosophy and community to foster self-acceptance and growth.

 In 2024 Heidi completed her Certified YTT-200 Training at The Yoga Flat and her YTT-100 Yin & Meditation at Vesterbro Yoga, enriching her teaching with diverse perspectives. Holding an MA in Management of Creative Business Processes, she also works in the creative industries, while cherishing the time well spent with her family.

Aislinn is an ERYT-200 and RYT-500 yoga teacher based in Berkeley, California, with her husband, daughter and cat; teaching since 2014, she specializes in making challenging postures accessible through her unique approach to sequencing, cueing, and hands-on assists.

Structured in the cYoga style, rooted in the movement principles of SmartFLOW yoga, and peppered with influences from her trainings in Functional Range Systems (FRC®), Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yin, and Hatha yoga, Aislinn's classes are a fun, fluid and dynamic invitation to explore and expand the edges of your physical and mental capabilities. Chris Fox is a 500H yoga teacher trainer, movement educator and Mobility Specialist of FRC. He moved to Bali in 2016 and has been teaching yoga and movement all over the island, primarily at Yoga Barn in Ubud.

He guides classes, workshops, immersions, retreats and teacher trainings with the Fox Method as a fun, functional, and challenging way with focus on simplicity and curiosity. His main focus is for you to move better and to feel better, and help you make your body smarter to be able to do all the things you love to do - every day!

Chris teaches people how to create freedom of movement, embodied self-awareness, and getting lost in the depth of your own experience. He is passionate about exploring modern movement combined with both technical and poetic cues, felt with presence, breath and connection to your whole being, and how this will enrich your yoga practice and movement awareness both on and off the mat.

Punnnu was born and raised in Hyderabad, India into a family that has a true love for kirtan and spirituality. From an early age he was interested in learning and practicing meditations. He has studied with different masters in ashrams and meditation schools from which some are Osho commune, Gandhi Gyan Mandir, Art of Living, Amma Amritanandamayi, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, Oneness University, Vipassana, Transcendental meditation and many more all over India, Indonesia and Philippines. Punnu shares his vast knowledge and experience of more than 34 years in his meditation classes, workshops, 100hr & 200hr Meditation Teacher Trainings, 100hr Advanced Meditation Trainings and 50hr Yoga Nidra Teacher Trainings at his workplace The Yoga Barn in Bali as well as around the world. Punnu is Currently primarily based in Bali (ID)

Whit Hornsberger

Whit Hornsberger (Vancouver, Canada) is a student and teacher of the wisdom traditions of Theravada Buddhism and Classical Yoga.
A former athlete, Whit discovered the path as a result of a career ending knee injury and the subsequent emotional and mental suffering inherent in losing one’s (supposed) self-identity and self-worth. Whit found in these ancient traditions a way to tread the sometimes difficult and arduous path of self-inquiry.
17 years after initially finding the wisdom traditions of ancient India, he continues to pursue his passion for truth and embodied well-being by way of meditation retreats amongst the courageous monastics in the Buddhist monasteries of Burma.
A lover of surf, travel and nature, Whit expounds the teachings internationally and online, offering workshops, conferences, retreats and trainings.

David Bonneville

David has worked his whole life up-side-down. As a former gymanst, he spent countless hours in the gym training to compete at a national level. After his sports career, David found himself drawn to the circus industry where he performed all over the world with several companies such as Cirque du Soleil and various theater productions and cruise ship shows. In 2014, he founded his own Yoga studio in Québec Canada, where he teaches Power Yoga and Pilates. He also teaches Yoga to those gearing up to be Yoga teachers themselves. When he has time he loves giving workshops of all kinds. Being comfortable up-side-down is David's true passion.

David is a movement artist, a spaceholder and place-maker, currently based in London (UK), whose passion is to simply encourage others to get back into their bodies amidst the global stream of wellness and mindfulness movements. Over the years, his curiosity has guided him through a wonderfully non-linear journey comprising a degree in architecture from the University of Sheffield, professional dance training at Trinity Laban and 500 hours of yoga teacher training with well-respected teachers including Naomi Absalom and Michael James Wong. Inspired by the multicultural hub he grew up in, the cheerful Malaysian threads his many strands of expertise to craft a creative, interdisciplinary practice which focuses on honouring the body, celebrating the boundless possibilities of movement as a physical anchor to consider how we can truly embody mindful living. David actively shares his ever evolving practice with warmth and sincerity to communities both in London and abroad, empowering others to rediscover their inner athletic artists.

Jeremy is a yoga teacher, mental well-being practitioner, and a devoted student of life. An advocate for refining the art of living, he is deeply passionate about health, healing, and happiness. Jeremy has an elaborate relationship with the mental health and wellness community that spans over the past 13 years, from practicing psychology clinically to lecturing and undertaking appointed consultancy work in the field. A firm believer that yoga teachers are at the front-line in modern society’s health, his work has naturally expanded to focus on enhancing well-being through the path of yoga.
Informed by yogic wisdom, psychology, anatomy and kinesiology, Jeremy’s classes emphasise an introspective, holistic experience that engages the mind, heart, body, and community through alignment principles. Through his classes, Jeremy’s wish is for students to feel they had a “work in,” feeling empowered to soften their edges and open their hearts so that they can navigate every moment of their lives with an underlying sense of inner peace and joy.

Jamie Clark

Jamie Clarke has been a student, teacher and scholar of Yoga since 2001 and is particularly inspired by Yoga as a process of therapy, personal development and spiritual growth.
Jamie is a E-RYT 500 teacher and has been directly trained by yoga masters, Larry Shultz- Ashtanga Vinyasa & Rocket, Lino Miele- Traditional Ashtanga, Paul Grilley- Yin Yoga and Edward Clark- Tripsichore.
Jamie´s asana practice and teaching style is drawn predominantly from these disciplines, and takes further inspiration from his special interest in yoga anatomy and how it inextricably influences the functional approach to teaching and practicing asana. His own practice and teaching is further rooted in a deep interest all meditation techniques, in particular ancient Tantric Chakra meditation and Buddhist Vipassana practices.
Other teaching influences have come from trainings with masters Richard Freeman, Shiva Rae, David Swenson in Ashtanga and Vinyasa disciplines, David Life in Jivamukti Yoga and Max Strom in breath work. Jamie also works closely with his teacher and training colleague Duncan Wong, and draws inspiration and influence from the martial art techniques of Yogic Arts.
