After practising meditation for many years, yoga then followed in 2009 whilst studying at university back in the UK. Dance was always something I wanted to explore, but in my younger years, free time was taken up training as a classical musician. Eventually after the discovery of my first yoga class, I found that I could practise this as a beautiful moving meditation.
The growth both on and off the mat for me personally has been hugely life changing helping me create much needed space in my body and seeing things in a clearer and calmer light.
Thoughts on Teaching
I love to help student’s find the internal and external balance of sweetness and intensity, to let go and create space. There is nothing more rewarding to me than treating students to a deep relaxing Savasana at the end of the pratice. My dynamic Vinyasa classes are expressive, invigorating the students’ truer self through moving meditations, paying emphasis on the breath and transitions between each pose. I mindfully push students’ strength and flexibility alongside modern and classical music bringing together mind and body. Hatha classes are at a quieter, slower pace. With detailed instructions, modifications and variations, you will be able to try new things and express your potential in an encouraging yet safe atmosphere. Poses will be broken down into stages making the class accessible to any student looking to take their practice to the next level and deepen their awareness.
